Have you ever been asked a question with such an obvious answer, that you just want to shout it at the person who asked you, and scold them for asking such a stupid question? I am sure we have all had one of these moments, and this essay is a more tame response to what, at first glance, seems to be one of those questions. The question is, does life have value? The Value to Life; Society vs. Self Today, our society assigns the value to human life based on which life is actually more appealing to them. A person is judged by society on the value of their life based on certain factors and aspects that are irrelevant. People realize the true value to their lives when they are in encounter with situations that may take it away. And because the value of life is so precious, society should determine.
The government has good intentions behind sending families money to help pay for the loss of a loved one. However, family members are so emotionally distressed they see it as a negative gesture. Many believe the government is trying to make up for the loss of their loved one by paying them. People have different opinions about what is important in life depending on their circumstances. Although I cannot control any crime that goes on in our world, my ultimate dream is that one day, problems can be solved without the use of violence, drugs or hate. These aspects to my American dream all relate back to starting off as a successful businesswoman. If I can do that, I can make sure that my family is always healthy and that we will live in a safe environment where violence and crime is not apart of the everyday. The two important values that I have learnt are the independence and the respect. I learnt these two values since my childhood.
