My teacher is kinda lenient when it comes to grading, so I was wondering if I could get other peoples opinions on my essay. I would really like to get a 4 on the exam, so please give me some tips on what I could improve. I practiced writing the synthesis from last years exam about honor codes. Therefore, it is necessary for an honor code to be implemented in order to cultivate integrity because not only does it provide an atmosphere where students do not have to fear from their peers cheating off of them, it also statistically lowers the percentage of untruthfulness amongst schools. Establishing a strict honor code that clearly states the consequences is almost vital in making it efficient. This is because punishments can go from suspension to expulsion, causing students to question themselves if violating the honor code is really worth it.

They believe since there is such a high level of cheating in high school that it becomes a habit they bring to college with them. The colleges find that when they use honor codes they can trust their students and their peers to see if there was any form of cheating. But if they did not use the honor codes they would have to monitor the class and see if anyone was cheating or not. They find that with the honor codes they have less cheating then without the honor.

While not an official school requisite, many institutions of higher education have embraced them to promote honesty and integrity within their school community. At my own school, Saint Mary's College High School, the honor code even goes so far as to lay out possible punishments of suspension and expulsion for those who do not comply.
